Allergens

 

Below is an overview of the definitions of the allergen advice that we provide on our website and on our product packaging. Each individual product in our online shop denotes specific allergen warnings. If you require any further information about our ingredients, please don’t hesitate to contact us.

Gluten and grain free: our bakery is 100% gluten and grain free. As we do not produce any products that contain gluten, you can consume Deeks with confidence and peace of mind.

Rice and corn free: rice and corn are both grains, which contain natural defence chemicals, like pesticides and fungicides to protect them from disease and deter animals, insects and bacteria.

Dairy free: we create a number of products that we market as dairy free and vegan and while we omit any ingredients that contain dairy, dairy is used in some products made in our bakery.

Egg free: we create a number of products that we market as egg free and while we omit eggs from the denoted products, egg is used in some products made in our bakery. We employ thorough wash-down procedures and maintain strict storage processes in order to avoid the risk of cross contamination.

Nut free: we create a number of products that we market as nut free and while we omit nuts from the denoted products, tree nuts are used in some products made in our bakery. If anaphylaxis is a concern we recommend avoiding these products.

Fructose friendly: our fructose friendly products are created for those who have an intolerance to the sugar found in fruit products. Products denoted “fructose friendly” contain very low or no products containing fruit sugars.

Artificial preservative and artificial colour free: every effort is made to ensure that the ingredients we use are all natural. This means that we avoid any additives, preservatives and colourants that are synthetically (artificially) made.

Vegan: we create a number of products that we market as vegan and while we omit meat and animal-based ingredients from the denoted products, dairy, eggs and honey are used in some of our baked products made in our bakery.

Soy free: soy is a really good source of protein. However, in recent times, more and more people have developed an intolerance to soy. This is why we have written recipes and made product that do not contain soy.
